* Note for DOSBox users *

This software is fully installed and configured to run in the DOSBox emulator.
You can simply drag and drop the file GONDWN.BAT over the DOSBox icon to start
playing. Experienced DOSBox users may choose other methods of startup.

The software was configured and tested to work with the official DOSBox build
v0.74-3 available from www.dosbox.com. It may or may not work with any other
third-party DOSBox distributions that are available.

!!! IMPORTANT !!!

Gondwana supports both Sound Blaster and Gravis UltraSound sound cards, but
when run in the official DOSBox build, Sound Blaster is likely not to work. It
is recommended to turn on Gravis UltraSound (GUS) emulation and use this
option instead of Sound Blaster when playing in DOSBox.

If you run Gondwana using the supplied GONDWN.BAT file, it will switch DOSBox
to GUS emulation for the duration of play, and turn it back off when you exit
the game. However, GUS emulation may be also enabled manually.

Open your DOSBox configuration file (by default it is dosbox-0.74-3.conf) in a
text editor of your choice and find the following line (assuming no previous
changes were made to the configuration file):

gus=false

Change this to:

gus=true

Save and close dosbox-0.74-3.conf.
