Mind Vomit: Tale of the Three Turtles By: Zandor 12 Genre: Cinema/Trippy/Art Submitted to Z2 and Zeuxworld: September 27th, 2003 (Note to Admin/uploading type people: If the name of the game's too long for you, just "Mind Vomit" works fine too.) After over a year of working on this on and off (mostly off), I've finally finished it. It's full of things and stuff, plus sandwiches and beverages will be available in the lobby afterwards. The game splits into three main parts; a cinema done in a no-programming style similar to The Motivational Speaker. This is based off of a fucked-up Appleworks document I made in school in a fit of boredom one day, so I suppose you can blame Mr. Hintz's Global Classroom class for this game's existance. Part two, the trippy adventure segment, is a pile of random nonsense, but in the good sense. And part three is an art segment, which was interesting to make since I don't normally do many art boards. And remember, this is a trippy game above all else, so (nearly) all of the spelling mistakes, bad commands, and logical inconsistancies (sp?) are on purpose. HOW CONVENIENT. STRATEGERY (DON'T NEED A WALKTHROUGH? THEN THIS SEGMENT IS NOT FOR YOU): . . . . . . PART ONE: HAHAHAHA IF YOU NEED HELP HERE THEN YOU SUCK AHAHAHAHAHAHA PART TWO: There are four huts, each with a key. You need four keys. Well, you don't actually NEED them, but you're getting them anyway. There are two other people outside; talk to both of them and receive 5000 gems. You can then buy all the ammo you could ever use from the tree. Three of the four huts are blocked, so OH GODDAMMIT MY COMPUTER JUST CRASHED AND I LOST FOUR PARAGRAPHS!!! ...anyway, go to FOOD HUT first, since it's the only hut not blocked. Talk to the purple fellow for the green key, then buy several hams and a clam from the bear. 300-500 health should be more than enough. Once you have the green key, you can then go on to the remaining three huts in any order, although you'll need some ammo for the yellow hut, and at least 9 health for the green hut. YELLOW HUT: IT'S A BATTLE ARENA. The undefeated super gladiator of death, Fred, is taking on all challengers, and the red key's the prize. Thundercles is working as a bouncer though, and he won't let you in unless you have the clam with you (he and the clam go way back). You can't actually damage Fred, but whenever you shoot him, yellow squares fly out of his body because he's special. If you surround him on all four sides with squares, he'll surrender. RED HUT: You have to talk the cactus into giving you the blue key. The only problem is, he's even more irrational than you are, and will electrocute you for 25 health at the drop of a hat. It helps to have bought some hams, and to save before you start the conversation. There are actually several different ways to get the key. GREEN HUT: This one's easy, just have 9 health or more and you can't lose. Once you've assembled the four keys, head north to the sentry and have a worthless exchange with him, then talk to the ammo tree for a nuke. Don't listen to what he says, keep asking him for it. Then nuke the sentry's ass and head north. There are a few minor threats, but except for the asterisk nothing's really keeping you out of- MAN EATING CAKE'S BOWLING ALLEY OF DOOM: I suppose this counts as an inventory puzzle, but there's only one item so it's a bit easy to figure out I suppose. Get the bowling ball (The black dot on one of the brown counters), then smash stuff. Specifically, go for the change machine, then the KUNG-FU DISCO JESUS machine. Use your now infinite supply of loose change to play a game; insert a quarter into the slot, press the start game button, and choose Jesus as your character. The kid will get angry, and demand food. At this point, go to the vending machine and get him either a dairy product or a high-grade explosive, same difference. The cashier will either die in the blast or rush to the kid's side, so use the opportunity to walk behind the counter and head east. Stumble your way through the dark, then you'll end up in Raistlenn's toolkit. The slider puzzle is pretty easy, but heres a solution anyway; Push the pair of brown and grey east-west sliders east once, the two brown north-south sliders north once, the two cyan north-south sliders north once, the pair of red and purple east-west sliders west once, and the lone brown east-west slider east twice. PART THREE: AHAHAHAHAHA YOU STILL SUCK SUPER SECRETS AND STUFF (DON'T NED A FLANDERS? THEN THIS RUIN IS NOT FOR EGYPT): . . . . . . There are a lot of comments in various objects, and four hidden boards. Two hidden on purpose, and the other two unused. On the menu board, the doors to the right lead you to the second and third parts of the game, if you don't want to play through the earlier boards to get to a certain part. BOARD 24: Hidden, unused, and incomplete. This was originally going to be a replacement for THIS BOARD IS NOT CORRUPTED, which I thought was corrupted since entering it would crash ZZT, but then I replaced the door with one of a different color and everything worked fine for some reason, so this board wasn't needed anymore. MAGICAL UNICORN FAIRY BUN-BUN LAND: Shoot up the blue rocks for maximum fun. Touch the sign to see Develin's poorly hidden cameo. Shooting Develin won't hurt him, so if you want to kill him, you'll have to come back once you've obtained the bowling ball. TETRIS: There are four pool sticks. The one on the far left says something different than the other three. Also, try touching the 7-pin in the leftmost lane. BOARD 36: -Dark the room for a hidden message. Also note the teleporters; you can save some time by walking through the walk and using them to skip to the end of the tunnel. YES: The gem serves no real purpose. Get it anyway. I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS EITHER: Hidden board. I was going to make it an art board, but it's not an actual picture, so... uh... yeah. DANCING DANCING ROBOT DANCING: This damn thing took me something like 2 1/2 hours to make. BOARD 45 (Which is actually Board 51): Go into the editor, then go to the lower right corner for a hidden message. !1;Headache- Inducing- Evil.: The original, non-mutilated version of Raistlenn's Toolkit, here for your toolkit-related needs. BOARD 57: UNUSED LOL
