If you are playing the game on a 386 machine, this is the standard mode -fast this is the standard mode unless you play the game on a 386 machine, see above. If you feel your 386 machine is capable, you may try to use the "-fast" parameter. If the game appears to be in "slow motion", your 386 machine is not capable of using the "-fast" parameter. You will need to restart the game example: grnbrt.exe -nosound -fast this will run the game without sound, in fast mode ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS 386+ 256KB VGA card 550KB base RAM 1024KB extended RAM 2MB hard drive space 104+ keyboard MS-DOS optional: SoundBlaster compatible soundcard Windows 9x ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TROUBLESHOOTING question: "where is the sound???" answer: you must set the BLASTER environment variable so Green Beret can detect the settings of your soundcard. Sound samples from the original C64 game were recorded by Thomas Bolhuis. This game is programmed for MS-DOS and it will run best under MS-DOS. Of course it will still run in a MS-DOS prompt under Windows. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CREDITS code Thomas Bolhuis sound system Ethan Brodsky sound Martin Galway graphics Thomas Bolhuis ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CONTACT Visit our homepage at: www16.brinkster.com/tomber.
