      [-1-] Technical data

Important technical data for the program:

       Hardware ............:
        - IBM-AT with a minimum of 570 kByte of RAM. If you have an
AdLib or respectively a Soundblaster compatible card will
enjoy the full impact of the background melodies.
To achieve fluent movements a 386DX with 25 MHz is required.
        - VGA-graphic-card (modern card such as the ET4000, accelerator
          card)
        - Joystick is supported.

       Operation system ....:
        - MS-DOS Version 3.1 and newer.

To start the game type "NICO [ENTER]"
(If you have installed Nicolausi using the TOM-installation
program a Batch NICO.BAT will be placed into your root directory.

       Help-function .......:
Using F1 even while the game is running

       CD-ROM and network are supported:
        - Nicolausi supports separation of program and security
data. This is requirement that "Nicolausi can be started
direct from a write protected Media or data-paths.
If "Nicolausi" determines that the data-volume is write
protected (for CD-ROM always and in the PUBLIC domains of
networks often) it will create the sub directory "\TOMPROD"
automatically to safe all the game settings and the high
score list. If you don't like this just change the environment
variable "TOMPROD" to your liking. For example, assuming
the program file for Nicolausi is on a write protected medium
in drive X: and you desire the game settings to be saved
          on drive C:\GAMES\SETTINGS,

             SET TOMPROD=c:\GAMES\SETTINGS

needs to be entered at the DOS-prompt or included in the
          AUTOEXEC.BAT file.

Enjoy the game and a merry Christmas from TOM-Productions.
