Darkwoods 2 Map Editor By: Ryan Initial Release: July 22, 2002 Latest Update: August 13, 2002 Well, thanks for downloading this simple map editor. It was actually just supposed to be a side project since I was making a map editor for an ascii game of mine. Who knew it would actually turn out better than my original? I also included the first map I made with the editor. It's pretty tough... in fact I haven't beaten it yet. ---------- Controls (Also displayed in the program) Tab Key : Switch between fields. There are only two in this, though I used this format to make it easier to expand on later. It will switch between the map editing window or the Map Name field. Space Bar : In the Map Name field, this will allow you to name your map. In the map editing window this will place the current tile where the cursor is. +/- : Toggle the current tile. Cannot be changed in pen mode. Arrow Keys: Moves the cursor in the map editing window. If using the Numpad, you can move the cursor diagonally. (Make sure Num Lock is off.) P : Toggle pen mode on or off. When on, this will allow you to place the current tile wherever you move the cursor. N : New map. This will clear all the current map data. S : Save the current map. L : Load a map. Esc : Quit the program. Also cancels when prompted for a map name. ---------- This is really as easy as it gets. If you have problems, you might consider playing jump rope instead of computer games. If you find any bugs, please email me. One thing in the game that has nothing to do with my code is a Wall2 tile that isn't between two Wall tiles will show up yellow. Enjoy! ---------- Contact Information: Web Page http://www.geocities.com/szrrya/ (As of right now, under construction...) Email szrrya@yahoo.com
