Usually no special installation is required, just run the coe.exe program. If your graphics card can't handle 15 bit colour mode (32000 colours) then you should type "coe -8" at the ms-dos prompt and the game will only use an 8 bit colour mode (256 colours). Graphics command line options: -8 8 bit colour mode (-d0 no dithering, only for 8 bit mode) (-d1 2x2 dithering (default), only for 8 bit mode) (-d2 random dithering, only for 8 bit mode) (-d3 2x2+random dithering, only for 8 bit mode) -15 15 bit colour mode (default) -16 Only use this if -15 doesn't display the correct colours. Other command line options: -ns No Sound -is Internal Speaker -sb Sound Blaster (default) Trouble shooting If the screen is blank when you try to run the game your graphic card might be a bit uncompatible. Try to install the 'scitech display doctor' or 'univbe' and it will hopefully fix the problem. Running the game from ms-dos instead of windows95 might also help. The sound is all wrong. Run the game from ms-dos and make sure your sound blaster is installed properly for ms-dos. If you have a new graphics card capable of a lot of colours and the colours are all wrong when running in the 15 bit mode then you should try typing "coe -16" to use a 16 bit colour mode instead. It might fix the colour problems.
